New recycling law for plastic bags in Suffolk should get notice by Nassau lawmakers
A new law passed in Suffolk County provides the mechanism to have consumers and supermarkets recycle plastic grocery bags. The bill, sponsored by S.C. Leg. Wayne Horsley (DLindenhurst), avoids the less favorable issue of banning these items, and provides a use for them while at the same time preserving valuable natural resources.
