Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt, the Republican Delegation Leader of the Legislature, installed the officers of the Carman Road Civic Association, Inc. and served as guest speakers. Schmitt spoke on the continuing Nassau County fiscal situation, the continued opposition of the Republican Delegation to massive property tax increases as a solution and the need for spending cuts. Schmitt also spoke on the ongoing County-wide reassessment and how it will affect homeowners in the area.
