The following incidents have been reported by the Nassau County Police Department’s Seventh and Eighth Precincts and other law enforcement agencies


Massapequa: Police reported that on February 24, shortly before 6:40 p.m., someone broke a passenger side window of a car parked at Ulta Beauty on Sunrise Highway and stole a handbag that had been left in the car. The contents of the handbag were not made available.


South Farmingdale: An undisclosed amount of meat was shoplifted from a Stop & Shop on Motor Avenue February 24. The theft took place at about 11:35 p.m.


DWI: The following persons have been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated or impaired: Sean M. Thomson, 30, of Farmingdale; David Hourie, 59, of Freeport; Igor I. Astakhov, 30, of Hicksville; Giuseppe L. Alifano, 36, of Massapequa Park; Edward Gonzalez, 58, of Uniondale; Harnoor S. Bhullar, 28, of New Hyde Park; Taina K. Rosado, 36, of Bellport; Vanessa H. Mauri, 21, of Massapequa.

The charges against those arrested are allegations, and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
